Gower , My Beautiful Home

The Gower Peninsula near Swansea has some of the most stunning scenery in the UK
The Gower is situated to the West of Swansea in south Wales and I live in a little village called Waunarlwydd at the gateway to the gower. The mumbles is imortalised in several of Dylan Thomas' best work - Dylan was of course a famous swansea son. Richard Burton and Anthony Hopkins were born but a few short miles away too....

Three cliffs bay
This is one of the most memorable and widely painted and photographed views of the Gower. At high tide you can swim through a cave in the middle of the rocks. The bay is overlooked by the ruins of a medaevel castle - which is also well worth a visit

Swansea Bay
At the heart of swansea bay lies the university which is home to 20,000 students during term time. It was the first University in the country to offer a degree in Formula 1 engineering. The Bay curves round to mumbles in the distance and offers 10 miles of beach.
